DIY Ponytail Haircut!

​I am NOT a professional. But if you are looking for a DIY haircut for layering hair here is a new one that worked out for me!

I first did a blunt cut right above my bottom hair tie and it ended up being a tad crooked. I fixed this in the mirror afterwards.

Not shown: without taking the last 2 hair ties out, I did some point cutting straight into the ends of my hair to add a little more texture.

Here are a few tips:
For a more accurate cut, your hair needs to be as straight as possible so you can see and gather your layers better.

The farther forward you put your first hair tie on your head, the more layers you will have closer to your face(mine looked a little choppy or one length at the front so I cut another slanted/layered inch or so off my bangs to blend them better) If I could go back I would have put the ponytail an inch or so farther back on my head so the front layers aren’t as drastic.

Comb your hair as smooth as possible into that first hair tie so the haircut is as even as possible.
